Oh memories. There are so many, so I'll narrow it down. And since Mal only has one year under her belt, she says she'll post next year:)
When was the first time you went to Cannon Beach with the family?
-At 20 months, I guess. If I was Suzanne, I would say that I remember the entire trip:)
Why do you look forward to Cannon Beach every year?
-Lately it's been because it's the only chance I get to see the ocean all year and be with the entire family. It doesn't get much better than that.
What is your favorite Cannon Beach memory?
-Well, I have a million, but Dad reminded me of the time that the cops and life guards came to our house because I was lighting fireworks off in front of the rock before the 4th of July. I think that every police force in Cannon Beach was there. In hindsight, it was amazing. They swarmed on our house as if we were harboring terrorists. Also, I always enjoyed watching the Little League World Series with all the guys
What is your funniest memory of Cannon Beach?
-Riding around on the ridiculous family bike and having everyone but Dad complain about it. Or riding the three wheel beach bikes and watching Sarah get all mad about it. Haha, complaining is funny sometimes.
Which house that we stayed at was your favorite?
-It wasn't last year's, that's for sure haha j/k. Probably the octagon window house. It was a great location, we stayed there a lot, and I liked to lay out on that carpet.
What is your favorite game that we play?
-Other than golf, beach baseball
What is your favorite outside/inside activity?
-Surfing/NBA draft and chatting
What is your favorite food we eat?
-Crab (we're going to catch and KEEP a thousand this year) and rootbeer
What is your favorite store in town?
-It used to be the Explora Store and Gippedo's but now I think the candy store is the only one I still like from my youth
What one thing do you just have to do this year?
-Go crabbing, golf, and get ice cream. We only have 4 days :(
What is your favorite ice cream flavor?
-Chocolate chip cookie dough or vanilla
Which do you like better, sunrises or sunets?
-Sunsets. If I'm awake to see the sunrise, it's not vacation:)
New Q (this one might just apply to me): What is something that is funny now looking back at it, may have almost ruined the trip?
-2 things: we went on a hike and I was complaining the entire time. Dad just wanted us to get out and have a good time, but I was just a punk the whole time. I finally sat down in the dirt when he wanted to keep going haha. I felt so bad because that ended the hike and made for an awkward ride home for everyone. The second was when I thought it would be a good idea to jump over him at a beach fire and got a ton of sand in his eyes. It ruined the whole night because he couldn't see. Haha, another close call to ruining the trip.
