Spent some time, finally! with Joe and Mal in Iowa City, Iowa.  It is really a beautiful town with the University of Iowa and the old village feel to the downtown area.  The ice cream was delicious (Whitey's). The weather was perfect (HOT and HUMID!) The company was the best (FAMILY!)  And also there is a bit of Church History there, as well. On a corner of the campus is a paved trail with markers that shows where the Mormon handcart  pioneer companies camped and then left for the west with their handcarts. We enjoyed every minute of our visit!  Thanks everyone!

Of course, of special interest in Iowa City is the newest
addition to the family: the new daughter of Joe and Mal.

Go Hawks!
Happy baby for her Mom!
Reading with Grandma?  Must be a really boring  story!

The roof top of the Law School Building overlooking the Iowa River and campus.
Happy for her Dad, too!
