Mal & Joe do Washington, D.C.

Mal used to pretend she was Dorthy Gale from Kansas when she was a kid, so we had to find Dorthy's actual ruby shoes.

Mural of the presidents. I don't know who the guy in the middle is.

National Gallery of Art. That is not a photograph--it's made from fingerprints.

Mal being very pensive in front of her favorite Jackson Pollack.

Our friend Kim lives in D.C. now and we got to spend a couple of days with her.

The good old Metro. Best and cleanest transit system in the country, says this guy.

You can't see her but you can see the license plates--that's Patty Murray, WA State senator

The Rotunda of the Capitol Building. The painting on the top is called "The Apotheosis of Washington" i.e. Washington becoming a God.
